This world-class velodrome (bicycle track) played host to national and international competitions under the guidance of USACycling, including state, national, world cup, and world championship events. It was also among the U.S. Olympic training centers. The Superdrome was 250m long and had 44-degree banked corners and was rated as the fastest sea-level track in the world. Custom-developed features also included a timing telemetry system that enabled judges to instantaneously monitor and evaluate performances and a graphic timing and information system let spectators better understand live events.
