After many years of passionately following their vision for a new center, Apex Centre (formerly known as McKinney Aquatic and Fitness Center) is now a reality. Our services included evaluation of multiple studies, facility options and sites – and ultimately design. Situated on a deceptively sloping site at a major intersection, the split-level building will serve as the new anchor for 150+ acre Gabe Nesbitt Park. It includes nearly 80,000 square feet of indoor aquatic recreation space, boasting indoor lap and leisure pools, a gymnasium, group exercise rooms, ample fitness space, jogging track, and a multi-purpose classroom. An outdoor leisure pool with waterslides, current channel, play structure, separate shaded tot pool and bathhouse round out the amenity set for this state-of-the-art facility.
