Working a new facility into a confined urban site can be a challenge. Integrating that same facility into the context one of the oldest inland cities in the U.S. can be another. This facility not only provides 4 stories of public meeting, office, training, and detention space but also includes an indoor firing range and a secure parking garage below grade. At ground level, an arcade engages pedestrian traffic and careful façade proportioning connects the building to adjacent structures.
