The City of Richardson sought to replace the antiquated Heights Recreation Center with a fresh start. The design challenge was to do so on a highly constrained site, and with a goal of minimal operational impact to the existing center.
A phased solution re-arranged the site for improved park safety and function. The striking design aesthetic is a contemporary response to the neighborhood’s mid-century modernist roots.
