The Selma Police Station is a 14,500 SF two story building that is designed to blend with the existing City Hall and Fire Station in a campus setting. The available land area was limited so the design required a two story layout with the Administration and Criminal Investigation Departments on the upper floor and clerical, patrol, records, evidence and a holding area with sally port on the lower floor. The facility also contains a large training room and a fitness room with shared access for other City staff. The site was designed to limit public access to the front area while accommodating a sheltered outdoor area for the staff and officers in the back as well as covered patrol car parking.
